Meet the team

Clinicians are registered through professional bodies such as HCPC, UKCP, BACP, BPS, or are “Experts by Experience’. They are expected to maintain valid memberships and work to the highest standards of clinical governance. Clinicians receive both training and supervision from a senior clinical consultant to at least the minimum expected from their respective regulatory body. BPC ensures all clinicians hold suitable qualifications and have enhanced background checks prior to and during employment.

Zain Abassi – Director and Psychologist

MSc Family and Child Psychology

Zain has worked with children and young people since 2015. He has worked with a wide spectrum of young people in care for different reasons including: sexual abuse, sexual exploitation, harmful sexual behaviours, offending behaviours, criminally exploited and those with gang affiliation. Zain specialises in completing a number of psychometric assessment measures.

He is passionate about helping others and believes all young people in care deserve the same opportunities as those who are more fortunate. This is one of the reasons Zain started Building Psychological Capital; he wanted to create a service which aims to give looked after children the best possible chances in life.
