Contact Us

BPC offers a wide range of services we believe that maximise the best outcomes. We use evidenced based interventions coupled with nationally recognised psychometrics assessment measures to create frameworks for recovery plans. We aim to help those with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties, learn new life skills, develop their sense of identity, and work towards a positive future. We understand that we cannot work with these individuals forever so we aim to give them practical lifelong skills they can use for the rest of their lives. Our services are not only aimed at the individual, but also the support systems around them. We work with children and young people in care, the staff teams supporting them, education providers, and families.

Professional Consultations

We offer consultations on clinical issues and as standard practice, provide written guidance. This includes discussing the children and young people, their risks, presenting behaviours, and also solutions.

Clinical Supervision

Supervision is crucial to ensure clinical input is well received and implemented into practice. We offer this to Home managers and staff members. BPC staff also receive this from a senior clinical consultant.

Debriefs

Due to the nature of this work, we feel it is crucial to offer staff debriefs following significant incidents. This gives them the chance to process this and reduces any potential secondary trauma.

Psychometric Assessments

Advice and guidance is given on a range of psychometric assessment measures we complete. These are baseline assessments some of which are repeated over time to measure progress.

Direct Sessions

We have a blended approach when offering direct sessions to young people. This can be done both face to face and virtually. We understand that young people are digital natives born into technology so often they respond best through this medium.

Clinical Training

At BPC, we believe skilling up the workforce is vital. We however do not do this from a general theoretical sense. Instead, we offer bespoke training tailored to the needs of the young people and staff with Trauma and Attachment being key areas. We run an annual training programme and offer this out to all providers we work with.

Resources

We have a library of resources available. These are tailored for staff to engage young people in keywork sessions. We often stress that these resources are merely guides for conversation. It is in the conversations between the young person and staff that change comes about.

Referral Screening

Clinicians advise home managers on potential children and young people they are looking to place. Social histories are thoroughly screened so managers are aware of all presenting risks ensuring the home is a good fit for them.

Written Records

BPC ensure all clinical input is both recorded and shared. We pride ourselves on having clear evidenced records and reports for all individuals.
